Singapore at Night

It was about last year when we had a memorable Photowalk in Macau. Here in Singapore, we did it again but it was just a quick one. We went to Orchard Road then to Merlion Park. I do recommend the Merlion Park if you want to shoot at night since you can see different tourist spots from that area alone. And since I'm still not comfortable of using my external flash that time, I just maximized using my DSLR and tripod. Here are my favorite shots:

This was shot at Orchard Road Station. It took me around 10 shutters before achieving this candid shot. I so love this one!

These four shots was taken at the Merlion Park. I want to stay here a little bit longer or even walk up to the Helix Bridge. I hope next time I'll be able to visit this again (with a wider lens) (and if money and time permits). :))

This was taken inside the Singapore Flyer and one of my favorite shot! (Printed and frame already)

A Ride You Shouldn't Miss at Universal Studios Singapore

Universal Studios Singapore is also situated within Sentosa Island. A theme park within a theme park, somewhat like that. When we enter the premises, we were greeted by its famous revolving Universal globe. We take some time for snapshots around it. Just like we usually do when visiting a theme park, we look for a map. They printed it in brochures and you can get how many you like. Guided by the map, we check the rides, stores and decided what we are going to try.

“Transformers The Ride 3D”, we heard it was the best here in USS so we decided to try it first before the other rides. It is located in the Sci-Fi city, one of the seven zones of Universal Studios Singapore. Waiting time was about an hour and half from the entrance but you’ll not get bored since they posted screens, memorabilia’s, anything about Transformers.

After 1.5 hours of waiting, finally its our turn!

In order not to spoil your experience, I won’t describe it in details. But guys, TRANSFORMERS THE RIDE is the best ride ever I had not just in Universal Studios Singapore but in any theme parks I visited to. The 3D effects, ride experience and thrill factor is perfect, 10 out of 10 for me. This is the ride you shouldn’t miss.

Bring extra money in case you want to buy something at the Transformers Store! :)

Luge and Skyride at Sentosa Island Singapore

After touring around Malaysia, we explore the Lion City, Singapore! Our first stop in Singapore, the Sentosa Island. It is one of the favorite theme parks here in Singapore, home with a vast and exciting attractions. They had at least 20 attractions for you to try, we visited at most half of it and my favorite ride here in Sentosa, the Skyride and the Luge.

Cable Car to Sentosa

The Luge (Source: http://www.sentosa.com.sg)

The luge is a non-motorised, three-wheel carrier that careens down a steep hill on a 650-metre track. Then the Skyride is an open-air cable-driven chairlift offering sensational lofty views of the nearby beaches while taking you right back up to the Imbiah Lookout. For those who are after even more excitement like me, check out Sentosa Luge's second track that has even tighter corners and numerous turns. At the end of the trip, we can go to the photo center to see our fun-ride images. The photos can be printed on the spot too. It was an another awesome experience!

Before riding out, we are instructed on how to use and control the luge which is pretty easy as the gears come in the form of handles. (Source: http://www.sentosa.com.sg)

Just enjoying the Ride. (Source: http://www.sentosa.com.sg)
Sometimes I choose not to take pictures and just have some FUN!! :D

This is the iFly, the indoor skydiving attraction of Sentosa.

You can ride this transpo around Sentosa Island.

The Skyride. We took this ride going back to the upper part of the Park.

Once is not enough! The Luge as seen from above.

And after that, we went touring around Sentosa.

Laag ta sa Malaysia: Petronas Twin Towers

Malaysia, Truly Asia! It was our last day in Malaysia and one of my memorable place we visited is the Petronas Twin Towers. It is situated in Kuala Lumpur in Jalan Ampang. Before I only see it in the pictures of my cousin who always go there but that night was really memorable. I was able to shoot one of my dream architecture subjects. Though my kit lens wasn't enough to capture the whole Petronas Towers in one frame, I tried my best to capture its beauty at night. I wish I could go back here someday.

This is how Petronas Towers looks from the inside of the building.

Looks distorted but not really.

Inside the building are shopping centers, food chains, restaurants and offices.

I remember this was my first time using my external flash. Took me minutes to figure out how to use it but still unsatisfied with the results. XD
